Taxes are out of control in Maryland. The Democrats, including, have created an affordability crisis in Maryland by their tax policies. Just last year the Democrats imposed the largest tax increase in history.

Chuck Murphy knows Marylander’s pay too much to fund the operations of a bloated state government.

There is also no doubt that Maryland needs an independent Inspector General to stop waste, fraud, and abuse in our state government. State agencies require outside oversite.

Chuck Murphy’s training as a Credit Risk Analyst prepares him well to ask the tough questions and demand the right answers to help get Maryland back on track.

Protecting Marylanders

The safety of our citizens must be the first priority of any elected official. Chuck Murphy will fight to make our communities and streets safe.

Law enforcement has been handcuffed from working with ICE to protect our communities from violent illegals. Maryland has endorsed criminals first rather than a victims first philosophy.

Chuck Murphy honors and respects law enforcement. He will demand that the brave men and women of law enforcement are supported and respected. He will work to restore the Police Officers’ Bill of Rights and make sure law enforcement has the resources necessary to do their jobs.

Chuck will oppose policies that ignore or enable violent criminal behavior including addressing the youth crime crisis.

Creating Jobs

Chuck Murphy will fight to make Maryland competitive in our region and work to improve Maryland’s reputation as a business-friendly state.

High taxes, regulatory hurdles, and an anti-business environment have overburdened job creators. Maryland was named in 2026 as the second worst place in America to start a business. Maryland has the 9th highest corporate tax in our country. Chuck Murphy knows this has to change.

We can change this destructive pattern by focusing on what Maryland needs to do in order to thrive. We need to prioritize expanding apprenticeship programs, providing tax credits for hiring, reducing regulatory barriers, fostering entrepreneurship through incubators, access to venture capital, and local business development programs. Chuck Murphy will be a job creator!

Defending our Freedoms

Personal freedoms and constitutional rights are under assault in America and Maryland. Our rights to be actively involved in the education of our children, to defend ourselves, and our rights of free speech must be defended against the intolerant attacks of the far left.

Chuck Murphy will defend our constitutional freedoms and not allow political correctness to erode our liberties through government overreach or political correctness.

Opposing the Maryland Piedmont Reliability Project

The Maryland Piedmont Reliability is an unfair assault on private property rights, farmers, and local communities. Chuck Murphy will continue the fight of Delegate Nino Mangione to stop the MPRP.
